It has been reported that some patients have been misdiagnosed with Benign Tumour, when in fact the correct diagnosis in their specific case was Ewing Sarcoma.
Ewing’s sarcoma effects 10-20 year old’s is a rare type of tumour that grows in the bones, cartilage, or nerves surrounding the bone. Bone tumour is the most common form of the disease and symptoms include a lump near the skin that is warm to the touch, constant low grade fever, bone pain that gets worse at night or while exercising, broken bones without cause, weight loss, extreme fatigue, loss of bladder control, and limping because your legs hurt. As this cancer is so rare it can be misdiagnosed as osteosarcoma, periapical lesions of maxillary incisors, traumatic hematoma, rheumatoid arthritis, acute leukemia and neuroblastoma.
