It has been reported that some patients have been misdiagnosed with Carbon Monoxide (CO) Poisoning, when in fact the correct diagnosis in their specific case was Flu.

It can be commonly misdiagnosed as the common cold which is caused by a milder virus or covid-19, lyme disease, adenovirus, and pneumonia.
