It has been reported that some patients have been misdiagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, when in fact the correct diagnosis in their specific case was Fibromyalgia.
The main criteria for diagnosing Fibromyalgia is widespread pain in the body for a minimum period of three months. To be diagnosed the pain must be in four of the following five locations: axial, right lower, left lower, right upper and left upper regions.
