Irritable hip is a condition of childhood that causes hip pain and limping. Symptoms of irritable hip include pain in the hip, knee or thigh, restricted movement and an increased temperature. Irritable hip can be misdiagnosed as Perthes disease, fracture or contusion to the hip, tumour in the hip and juvenile idiopathic arthritis.
